Severstal has chosen the supplier of the machinery for the foundry shop of the blast furnace No. 3 at the Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works.
The total cost of the contract is over 28 billion rubles.
Under the contract TMT GmbH (Germany) will supply all the necessary machinery.
The first deliveries are expected in Q2 2020.
“The new blast furnace No. 3 with the project capacity of 2.9 million tons of pig iron per year will be constructed with the use of all the possible newest technical decisions”, Severstal Russian Steel CEO Vadim Germanov said.
The BF3 is expected to be blown in 2020. (Ukrainian metal)
