Severstal is increasing the rolled metal storage capacities at the industrial port of Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works by one third.
The new hangar (135 x 24 x 14 m) will be made of metal frame weighing over 90 tons, over which an awing cover with double sided PVC coating will be put. With the construction of the new terminal, the covered square of the port will increase by 9 thousand tons.
The increase of the warehouse has to do with the growth of plated rolled metal output – the metal plating shop No. 3 will be commissioned at the works this year. (Ukrainian metal)
