In August Ukraine produced 939 thousand tons of steel, not counting continuous-cast semi-finished products, up by 0.5% YoY, but down by 3.7% MoM.
According to the State Statistics Service, the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and a part of the Antiterrorist operation zone are not taken into account.
Steel output in 8 months decreased by 6.4% YoY, to 7113 thousand tons.
Ukraine produced 1782 thousand tons of pig iron in August, down by 9% YoY, but up by 15% MoM, as well as 12729 thousand tons in 8 months, down by 20.3% YoY.
Rolled metal output totaled 969 thousand tons in August, down by 16.5% YoY and by 1.7% MoM, with 7907 thousand tons produced in January-August, down by 10.3% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
