In January, Ukraine produced 611 thousand tons of steel, up by 12% MoM.
Pig iron manufacture grew by 5%, to 595 thousand tons.
Rolled metal production decreased by 0.2%, to 480 thousand tons.
Compared with January 2024, steel production went up by 12.3%, pig iron by 7.2% and rolled metal by 6%.
In January, average daily steel output amounted to 19.7 thousand tons, up from 17.6 thousand tons in December 2024. This was the best result since June 2024, when the output was 24.5 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
