The steel-smelting shop of Cherepovetsk Iron and Steel Works is completing its project to increase converter steel output: the construction of the second ladle furnace.
According to the company statement, the active phase of construction began in June 2016, and the trial start of the complex was made on May 31.
The cost of the project is over 3 billion rubles. The ladle furnace will increase converter steel output to 10 million tons per year. (Ukrainian metal)
