Chelyabinsk Zinc Works has put the sixth zinc cake rotary-kiln into operation.
According to the company CEO Pavel Izbrecht, the kiln was cold-started in summer.
This is the most expensive and the most important investment project of the company for the past 10 years.
The putting of the kiln into operation is a part of a major reconstruction program, aimed at increasing zinc output to 200 thousand tons per year. Investments exceeded 1.5 billion rubles. The capacity of the kiln is 90 thousand tons of zinc cake per year. (Ukrainian metal)
