In 2020-2024 Chelyabinsk Zinc Works will invest 4.6 billion rubles in environment protection.
According to the company CEO Pavel Izbrecht, in 2021 a concentrate warehouse No. 2 will be constructed, which will enable decreasing pollution – dust emission when loading concentrate.
In 2022 the company will construct a site to purify gases, decreasing pollution 2-fold.
Moreover, in 2020-2024 the company will carry out projects to purify wastewater, monitor air and zinc cake floatation. (Ukrainian metal)
