According to the Ukrainian Federation of Metallurgists, the state owes 7 billion UAH of unpaid VAT to the mining-metallurgical complex of Ukraine.

Of this amount, 6 billion is owed directly to metal companies, with 1 more billion to other metal industries. Federation head Sergey Belenky says, if this matter is not settled in the near future, some companies may halt.

The largest debts are to ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih (1.4 billion UAH), Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works (1.1 billion), Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works named after Dzerzhinsky (DMKD, 0.91 billion), Azovstal (0.86 billion) and Zaporizhstal (0.72 billion). (Ukrainian metal)
