In January-March, Ukraine decreased metal consumption by 27.3% YoY, to 610.4 thousand tons.
The market received around 360 thousand tons of domestic products, or 26% of the output volume.
Imports amounted to 250.4 thousand tons, or 41% of the domestic market capacity. The share of imports grew by 16.3%.
The imports are dominated by flat rolled metal over the bars (83.1% to 15.22% respectively).
The main suppliers were the European countries (42.9%), EU-27 (40.4%) and Asia (15.8%). (Ukrainian metal)
