In 2014 Interpipe Nizhnedneprovsk Tube-rolling Plant (NTZ) increased its net losses 15.2 times, to 1020.52 million UAH, YoY (66.97 million UAH in 2013).
In 2014 Interpipe Novomoskovsk Pipe Works (NMTZ) received 105.31 million UAH of losses.
In January-February major Ukrainian pipe companies produced 141.3 thousand tons of ferrous pipes, down by 29.8% YoY. In February pipe output was on the level of 59.5 thousand tons.
In January major Ukrainian pipe companies decreased their output of ferrous pipes by 10.1%, to 78.3 thousand tons, YoY. In December 2014 pipe output was 94.3 thousand tons, in November 2014 – 102.3 thousand tons.
Interpipe, one of Ukraine’s largest steel pipemakers, will not supply any products to Russia in 2015 due to a slump in the Russian rouble and prohibitive import duties, the company said in a statement.
The European Commission is imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain welded tubes and pipes of iron or non-alloy steel originating in Belarus, China and Russia and terminating the proceeding for imports of certain welded tubes and pipes of iron or non-alloy steel originating in Ukraine.
Kievenergo has chosen Interpipe Ukraine (Dniepropetrovsk) as a supplier of steel pipes for the total amount of 57.2 million UAH.
