Russia: Polymetal gold output up in 2018

In 2018 Polymetal increased gold equivalent output by 9% YoY, to 1.562 million ounces.

Gold manufacture reached 1.216 million ounces, up by 13%.

Silver output fell by 6%, to 25.3 million ounces.

In 2019 Polymetal intends to produce 1.55 million ounces of gold and in 2020 – 1.6 million ounces. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: Vostoc-2 to extract 67 kg of alluvial gold

The Vostoc-2 miners team intends to extract 67 kg of alluvial gold this season.

In particular, the team will finish developing the Moiga site, though the license is valid until March 2022.

The team will also be developing the site at the Kuzkin Brook.

Last year the team extracted 64 kg of gold. (Ukrainian metal)

Tajikistan: Pakrut to increase gold output

Since the start of the year and as of March 3, Polyus Aldan has produced 1 ton of gold.

In 2017 the first ton was produced on March 13, and in 2018 – on March 6.

Russia: gold output in Yakutia up in 2018

In 2018 Yakutia became one of the three largest gold extractors in Russia.

The output has reached 29.5 tons, up by 20% YoY.

Aldansky district yielded 12.75 tons of gold.

The Sakha Gold Mining extracted 17.4 thousand ounces of alluvial gold last year.

Russia: gold and silver output up in 2018

In 2018 Russia produced 314.42 tons of gold and 1119.5 tons of silver, up by 4.2% and by 7.2% YoY respectively.

Most of the gold produced is purchased by the Central bank.

Last year it bought 8.8 million ounces of gold (273.7 tons). (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: Rosgeologia starts inspecting prospective gold ore field in Kabardino-Balkaria

A subsidiary of the state holding Rosgeologia has obtained all the necessary permits on the project to study the Gitche-Tyrnyauzskoye ore field.

The corresponding state contract was concluded last summer.

The size of the field in Kabardino-Balkaria is 1.7 square km.
