In January-March, Ukraine exported 61.261 thousand tons of ferrous scrap, up by 52.2% YoY.

In monetary terms exports increased by 65.7%, to $19.431 million.

According to the State Customs Service, in March exports amounted to 20.80 thousand tons, in February – 23.194 thousand tons and in January – 17.16 thousand tons.

The main customer was Poland (90.56%), followed by Greece (5.42%) and Germany (3.89%).

In Q1, Ukraine imported 254 tons of scrap for $94 thousand. The main supplier was Slovakia (66.82% in monetary terms), followed by Poland (13.98%) and the Netherlands (10.75%), while in Q1 2023, imports amounted to 46 tons valued at $16 thousand from Slovakia. (Ukrainian metal)
