In January-April, Ukraine procured 1.24 million tons of ferrous scrap, up by 30.3% YoY.

The growth was due to high purchasing prices.

Scrap deliveries to metal works went up by 22.3%, to 1.120 million tons.

Reserves are estimated at 150-160 thousand tons.

Exports amounted to 87 thousand tons, up from 11.6 thousand tons in January-April 2020.

Ukraine also imported 7.8 thousand tons of scrap, up from 5.8 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
