Yenakievo Iron and Steel Works, situated in the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic, a terrorist organization created and supported by Russia, has shut down its Linde-KCA-Drezden air-separation machine.
It is used to produce enough oxygen to make 3.5 million tons of steel per year in the oxygen-converter shop.
When the machine was built, it had no analogues in the CIS countries. At that time its cost was $40 million. Without it, the blast furnace stands idle and it is unknown when it will be launched again.
Because of this, two thirds of employees are also idle. (Ukrainian metal)
