Russia’s gold output rose by 2% YoY, to 138.1 tons in January-June, the Finance Ministry said quoting supplies to the refining plants.

Mined gold output rose by 5.3%, to 116.38 tons, while by-product gold output decreased by 10.9%, to 8.27 tons, and production of gold scrap fell 1by 3.3%, to 13.45 tons.

Russia’s silver output decreased by 4.4%, to 437.3 tons in the period. Primary silver production went down by 5.8%, to 208.48 tons, while by-product silver output grew by 3.4%, to 164.99 tons, but production of silver scrap fell by 16.6%, to 63.83 tons. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
