In January-February, Chukotka Autonomous District extracted 3485 kg of gold and 16 tons of silver.
Gold output grew by 9%, but that of silver dropped by 6% YoY.
In January-February 2019 the region yielded 3206 kg of gold and 17 tons of silver.
The alluvial gold season will start in June.
Last year the region yielded 24.45 tons of gold and almost 112 tons of silver. (Ukrainian metal)
