In the first nine months of 2024, Kyrgyzstan exported 15% more gold than in the same period of 2023. The National Statistical Committee provided the data.
In total, during this period, Kyrgyzstan exported 11.3 tons of gold worth $853 million. This is a 15% increase in weight and a 37% increase in value compared to the same period last year, when 9.9 tons worth $619 million were exported.
The leading buyer of Kyrgyz gold in 2024 was the United Kingdom. The UK purchased 8.5 tons of gold for $660 million, accounting for 75% of the total gold export volume. (24.kg)
