In 2019 Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works increased rails sales to Moscow subway 4-fold YoY, to 32 thousand tons.
The rails were used in the construction of the new subway lines, as well as in the reconstruction of existing lines.
All the rails were supplied without holes for bolts. When creating railways, the rails are welded together.
ChMK has been producing rails since 2014. So far 1.3 million tons of rails have been sold.
Last year ChMK sold 279 thousand tons of rails. (Ukrainian metal)
