Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s Parliament, has adopted in the first reading the draft bill No. 1210, which presupposes the increase of iron ore mining rent.
232 members of the parliament voted in favor of the bill, 67 were against, 44 abstained and 42 did not vote.
The rent is to be set at 12%, which is considered a compromise between the industry and the state.
At the same time, additional negotiations will be conducted with the mining companies. (Ukrainian metal)
