In January-May, Ukraine decreased iron ore exports by 12.8% YoY, to 13.54 million tons.
According to the State Customs Service, China was the main customer, having imported 7.06 million tons, down by 4.3%, followed by Slovakia (1.99 million tons, -8.8%) and Poland (1.93 million tons, -5.6%).
In May, Ukraine exported 2.39 million tons of iron ore, down by 9.7% MoM and by 23.4% YoY. China imported 1.05 million tons (-27% MoM and -15.6%), Slovakia – 426.61 thousand tons (+5.3% and +25.3%) and Poland – 387.4 thousand tons (+0.9% and -29.8%).
In May, export revenue amounted to $180.9 million (-11.8% MoM and –24.2% YoY) and in January-May – $1.07 billion (-21.5%). (Ukrainian metal)
