Representatives of Kyshtym Electrolytic Copper Plant – the chief engineer Alexander Sidorenko and his deputy Anton Shabalin – have participated in the Copper 2019 conference in Canada.

Since the company intends to construct a new electrolysis shop, the engineers were interested for the most part in the pure copper cathode manufacture. In particular, the modern methods to clear electrolyte of impurities, new types of surfactants and effective solutions for electrolyte dressing.

The specialists have also visited Canadian enterprises, including a mine near the ocean. The mine is no longer operating, but the mine waters are still cleaned. (Ukrainian metal)
