Kyshtym Electrolytic Copper Plant has received 2 first electrolytic cells for the copper foil electrolysis shop being constructed.

The equipment arrived from Japan.

Assembly is scheduled for Q3.

Six foundation pits have been prepared for the cells in the shop, as well as the site for the foil-coating machine, which is being manufactured in Japan and will be shipped until the end of the year.

In early 2020 KMEZ plans to start commissioning the shop and produce trial batches of foil.

The design capacity of 1.2 thousand tons per year will be reached in 2020-2021.

Investments in the project amount to 3 billion rubles. (Ukrainian metal)
