In August metal output in Russia decreased by 1.1% YoY, but in January-August grew by 1.3%.
According to the Federal Service of State Statistics, unalloyed steel manufacture was 4.8 million tons in August, down by 3.8% YoY and by 3.1% MoM. In 8 months output dropped by 1.1%.
Stainless steel production was 12.7 thousand tons, down by 19.7% and by 9.1%. In January-August output decreased by 14.2%.
Russia produced 1.2 million tons of other alloyed steel, down by 2.4% YoY, but up by 1.4% MoM.
In August 5.1 million tons of rolled metal were produced, down by 1% both YoY and MoM.
Manufacturers of round pipes decreased output by 3.8% and by 5.3% respectively, to 0.232 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
