The Eurasian Economic Union has decided to impose limitations on the import of hot-rolled steel coils for a year from December.

The EAEU consists of Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

The total quota of hot-rolled steel coils in the countries is some 1.33 million tons, and all the imports exceeding this volume will be subject to a duty of 20%.

This duty does not cover the steel coils from moderately developed countries, countries with low level of development and the CIS. (Ukrainian metal)
