According to the NLMK chief specialist Vitaly Glazunov, the company has decided to shut down two of its welded pipe lines with the combined capacity of 50 thousand tons per year.
In 2018 – April 2019 average price difference between cold-rolled metal and welded pipes in Russia was around 700 rubles per ton with VAT because of the high competition between pipe manufacturers.
NLMK is constructing a logistics center in Lipetsk with the shipping volume of some 1 million tons per year.
Last year NLMK sold 544 thousand tons of rolled metal, having covered 15.8% of the market. (Ukrainian metal)
