Last year Kyshtym Electrolytic Copper Plant produced 128 thousand tons of copper cathodes, setting a historical record.

According to the company CEO Andrei Kudryavtsev, it also produced 155 thousand tons of anodes and over 95 thousand tons of wire rods.

This year the company is expected to manufacture 88.5 thousand tons of wire rod (the decrease has to do with modernization) and 139.13 thousand tons of cathodes.

Following modernization KMEZ can now produce 140 thousand tons of wire rod and 140 thousand tons of copper cathodes per year, up by 40% and by 15% respectively.

Over 70% of copper cathodes manufactured are sent to produce wire rod on the spot, and the rest is sold on the local market. (Ukrainian metal)
