Next year Chelyabinsk Zinc Works intends to increase zinc and alloys output by 4.7% YoY, to 200 thousand tons.
This is the maximum capacity of the plant.
The further increase of output is as yet impossible.
Following a large fire at Electrozinc in October and its subsequent shut down, ChelZinc remains the only UMMC enterprise to produce zinc and its alloys.
In 2016 ChelZinc produced 174.8 thousand tons of zinc and alloys, in 2017 – 183 thousand tons and in 2018 – 191 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
