The board of directors of Bashkiria Soda Company (produces 80% of soda in Russia) has approved the creation of the titanium dioxide manufacture with the capacity of 100 thousand tons and zirconium oxychloride (25 thousand tons) in 2024-2026 together with Kazakhstan.

BSC will have 51% in the project valued at $905 million.

The manufacture will be located at the BSC site in Sterlitamak, while the raw materials (ilmenite) will be mined in Kazakhstan.

Zirconium oxychloride manufacture will be in Kazakhstan. (Ukrainian metal)
