In January-June Russia exported 23.565 million tons of ferrous metals, up by 13.8% YoY.
According to the Federal Customs Service, ferrous metals exports not counting pig iron, ferroalloys, scrap and wastes totaled 15.427 million tons, up by 5.1%. Exports of carbon steel semi-finished products grew by 13.7%, to 8.172 million tons.
Flat rolled metal of carbon steel exports reached 4.124 million tons, up by 11%.
The share of metal in the total exports grew to 10.6% from 9.9% last year.
Far foreign countries accounted for 10.3% of ferrous metals exports (9.6% in H1 2017), and CIS countries – 12.8% (12%).
In June Russia exported 4.34 million tons of ferrous metals, up by 9.9% MoM, with 1.362 million tons of semi-finished products, down by 0.3%, and 0.746 million tons of flat rolled metal, up by 11.7%. (Ukrainian metal)
