In December 2017 Russia produced 4.32 million tons of pig iron, down by 3.6% YoY (4.19 million tons in November 2017). In 2017 Russia produced 51.58 million tons of pig iron, down by 0.6% YoY.
Ukraine decreased pig iron output in December 2017 by 7.4% YoY, to 1.8 million tons (1.74 million tons). In 12 months output totaled 20.21 million tons, down by 14.4% YoY.
Kazakhstan produced 325 thousand tons of pig iron in December 2017, down by 47.4% YoY (380 thousand tons in November 2017) and 4.19 million tons in 12 months, down by 39.3% YoY.
All in all CIS states in December 2017 produced 6.445 million tons of pig iron, down by 8.5% YoY (6.31 million tons in November 2017) and 75.98 million tons in 12 months, down by 7.8% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
