In October Russia produced 4.4 million tons of pig iron, down by 11.7% YoY (4.26 million tons in September). In January-October pig iron output totaled 43.136 million tons, down by 15.5% YoY.
Ukraine produced 1.655 million tons of pig iron in October, down by 14.6% YoY (1.6 million tons), with 16.121 million tons manufactured in 10 months, down by 18.4% YoY.
Kazakhstan pig iron output increased by 10.5% YoY in October, to 325 thousand tons (315 thousand tons), and by 16.7% YoY in 10 months, to 3.129 million tons.
All in all CIS countries in October produced 6.38 million tons of pig iron, down by 11.6% YoY, but up from 6.175 million tons in September.
In January-October pig iron output totaled 62.386 million tons, down by 15.1% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
