Russian gold output increased by 5.93% YoY, to 122.3 tons in January-June, the Finance Ministry said in a statement on October 4 citing data on supplies to gold refineries.

Mined gold output rose by 5.48%, to 96.3 tons in the period, while by-product gold output increased by 15.07%, to 8.4 tons, and gold scrap production grew by 2.92%, to 17.6 tons.

Russia’s silver output fell by 1.99%, to 483.7 tons. Primary silver production went down by 11.28%, to 219.5 tons, while by-product silver output rose by 22.37%, to 166.3 tons, and production of silver scrap decreased by 11.16%, to 97.9 tons. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
