Zaporizhstal is implementing the project on remechanization of its diesel-locomotive shunters.
According to the company statement, this will improve the lifetime of its fleet comprising 80 locomotives.
In August the works carried out a pilot project. Investments totaled 8 million UAH.
The modernization of the locomotive has been carried out by Nikolayev Locomotive-Repair Plant. Modernization has increased the locomotive lifetime by 12 years. (Ukrainian metal)
