In January-November 2016 Russia imported 4.04 million tons of rolled steel and pipes valued at $3120 million, down by 5.5% and by 4.8% YoY respectively.

Ukraine remains the largest supplier (almost one third of total imports). Still its exports dropped by 9.5% YoY.

Kazakhstan came second (21.6%), having increased its deliveries by 14.6% YoY, followed by China (16.2%), with supplies up by 18.2% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
