MMK Group’s total crude steel output in 2016 reached 12,544 thousand tons, up by 2.5% YoY.
Overall steelmaking capacity utilization at the main Magnitogorsk site (subject to maintenance schedule) amounted to 89% (from 84% in FY 2015).
MMK Group’s total finished steel product shipments in 2016 (excluding intra-group sales) amounted to 11,570 thousand tons, up by 3.4% YoY. The decrease in demand for steel on the domestic market was balanced by higher export sales volumes.
MMK Group’s HVA steel product output in 2016 was 5,299 thousand tons, up by 1.5% YoY. The share of HVA products in total the output decreased to 45.8%.
Production of coal concentrate by Belon in 2016 stood at 2,870 thousand tons, up by 1.7% YoY. (Metalinfo/Ukrainian metal)
