In 2016 Ukraine exported 39.2 million tons of iron ore and concentrate valued at $1.827 billion.

According to the State Fiscal Service, China was the largest importer of iron ore – $627.32 million, or 34.33% of the total exports. Czech Republic purchased $194.87 million worth of iron ore (10.67%), Poland – $192.21 million (10.52%). Other countries imported $812.78 million worth of iron ore (44.8%).

Last year iron ore accounted for 5.02% of all export revenues.

In 2016 Ukraine imported 1.764 million tons of iron ore and concentrate valued at $76.02 million. The largest supplier was Russia ($76.01 million, or 99.98% of all imports). (Ukrainian metal)
