Ukraine has not created an effective mechanism of struggle for its export markets and needs to strengthen the state protection of exporters on global markets.
Interpipe finances and economy director Denis Morozov believes that the trade representative institution on Ukraine is weak.
“A lot could have been achieved, if we compare with other countries. This is the right direction, but the movement is too slow”, he said.
According to him, Interpipe at present has some 15 cases of antidumping investigations in various countries, but has to deal with them on its own.
“No one expects Ukrainian products on export markets. Whenever we enter a market, whether in US, Europe ore Near East, it is immediately blocked by antidumping investigations. We try to struggle, but it’s very difficult to grow in such a situation”, he said. (Ukrainian metal)
