The opening of the marine corridor has allowed Interpipe setting its exports logistics to far markets not only via ports of neighboring countries, but directly from the Greater Odesa.
According to the railroad product division director Olexander Garkaviy, with the launch of the Russian full-scale war, the company was unable to ship its products to the overseas-markets due to the blockade of Black Sea ports.
But soon Interpipe found a way to export via ports of Romania and Bulgaria. First, railroad products were supplied to these countries, and then were shipped to the USA, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, India and Pakistan in containers.
“We’re still exporting our products via ports of neighboring countries, but with the launch of direct shipping from Ukrainian ports, the situation has considerably improved. We have used the new route from Chornomorsk to Houston, USA, to ship pipes and wheels. For now, this route is operating,” he said. (Ukrainian metal)
