For the first time in its history, Interpipe has started managing a vessel, which it has taken in a time charter.
“Interpipe has started attracting its own vessels instead of traditional freight. But we consider purchasing transport means inefficient. Instead we charter ships for transportation in the Black Sea,” the company procurement and logistics director Oleksiy Yanovskiy has said.
He didn’t state the name nor the size of the ship, but noted that she was currently transporting cargo between Odesa and Varna, as well as to the Georgian port of Poti, from which it was further taken to the customers in CIS countries, in particular, in Central Asia. (Ukrainian metal)
