Since Polymetal Int bought Kapan mining and processing factory in April, it mined 181 thousand tons of ore.
According to the company statement, in Q3 it mined 112 thousand tons.
Average metal content in ore from May till September totaled 2.3 thousand ounces of gold, 46 million ounces of silver, 0.3% of copper, and 1.6% of zinc. Gold extraction rate reached 85.2%, that of silver – 83.8%, of copper – 91.9% and of zinc – 91.3%. In total the factory produced 9.9 thousand ounces of gold, 0.2 million ounces of silver, 0.4 thousand tons of copper and 2 thousand tons of zinc.
By H2 2017 Polymetal intends to mine 650 thousand tons of ore per year and by H2 2018 – 900 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
