Each year Metinvest companies pay over 300 million UAH of environment tax to the budgets of all levels.
Such a tax could become a resource for ecological improvement. And the local companies should receive the most of these payments and have the right to spend them on modernization.
“And what if the local authorities decide to speed up the process to achieve higher norms? What if tomorrow we want to have a modern manufacture of the European level? Why don’t we take this decision and help increase the speed of modernization?” said the company environment protection director Vladislav Belous. (Ukrainian metal)
