In January-August Russia exported 28.65 million tons of ferrous metals, up by 3.4% YoY.

According to the Federal Customs Service, pig iron exports went up by 3.6%, to 3.39 million tons, that of carbon steel semi-finished products – by 3.8%, to 9.72 million tons, all YoY.

In monetary terms ferrous exports fell by 16.6% YoY, to $8.89 billion. In particular that of pig iron dropped by 23.7%, to $726.9 million and of semi-finished carbon steel – by 15.8%, to $2.71 billion. (Ukrainian metal)
