Russia continues increasing metal imports. In June it imported 326 thousand tons of metal (without pig iron, ferroalloys, wastes and scrap), up by 11% MoM.

Pipe imports remain low – at 30 thousand tons per month.

In H1 Russia imported 1.52 million tons of ferrous metal, down by 4% YoY. The drop was caused by the decrease in imports from foreign countries (by 16% YoY), while CIS imports remained on the last year levels (920 thousand tons). Steel pipes imports, on the other hand, grew by 22% YoY, to 215 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
