Last year a group of Ukrainian scientists and DTEK specialists started working on the project of overcoming the difficult and dangerous mine opening.
The group had to make course through the Bogdanovsky dislocation with a break in continuity – the gigantic crack in the rock 50 km long – to the new coalbed.
The shaftmen of DTEK Mine Group Ternovskoye were able to reach huge coal reserves of 10 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
