In 2012 Ukraine’s ferroalloy production decreased by 13.8% compared to 2011 to 1.026 million tons.
In 2012 Ukraine’s silicomanganese output decreased by 13% to 734,100 tons, its ferromanganese production went down by 12.9% to 157,300 tons, its ferrosilicon output decreased by 20.9% to 119,400 tons, while its metallic manganese production increased by 4.3% to 14,700 tons all compared to 2011.
In 2012 the largest Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant’s ferroalloy output decreased by 14.6% YoY to 657,800 tons including 554,800 tons of silicomanganese and 103,000 tons of ferromanganese.
During 2012 Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Zaporozhye Ferro Alloys Plant’s ferroalloy output declined by 5.3% YoY to 198,900 tons including 129,900 tons of silicomanganese, 54,300 tons of ferromanganese and 14,700 tons of metallic manganese.
Another major Ukrainian ferroalloy producer – Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant – saw its ferroalloy output fall in 2012 by 19% YoY to 168,800 tons including 119,400 tons of ferrosilicon and 49,400 tons of silicomanganese. (SteelGuru)
