Zaporizhstal in January increased its production volume of iron by 4.3%, of steel – by 9.9 % and of rolled stock – by 7.4% in comparison with output in January 2012.
Increase in production volume within the reported period is connected with active implementation of the managerial and process arrangements at the works, as well as usage of the efficiency reserve and decrease in operational losses.
Mr. Rostislav Shurma, DG of Zaporizhstal, said that “There is no need to convince anybody that to be a competitive works means to be the best in main trends quality, reduction of cost price and increase in output. The works’ staff copes with the assigned tasks perfectly well, which is clearly demonstrated by the performance indices of the works in January and I’m sure that from now on it will be so”.
