Ukraine: scrap procurement up in Q1 2021

In January-March, Ukraine scrap procurement grew by 28.2% YoY, to 930 thousand tons. The growth was due to high purchasing prices of metal companies. In January-February, Ukraine exported 30.189 thousand tons of ferrous scrap valued at $10.087 million, up 2.8-fold and 3.7-fold YoY respectively.
