Russia: ferrous metals railroad transportation down in 2016
In 2016 Russian railroads transported 1.222 billion tons of cargo, up by 0.6% YoY. In particular coal transportation grew by 1.7% YoY, to 328.6 million tons, iron and manganese ore – by 0.5%, to 109.5 million tons. At the same time transshipment of ferrous metals dropped by 0.5% YoY, to 71.01 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
