Ukraine: metal companies losses down in January-August 2015

In 2015 Ukrainian metal companies are expected to produce 23.5 million tons of steel, down by 13% YoY, due to the military activity in Lugansk and Donetsk regions, infrastructure destruction and works halts.
Metallurgprom board of directors has appointed Alexander Kalenkov, the Institute for strategic researches director, the president.
Metallurgprom forecasts the steel output on the level of 1.9 million tons in October. Rolled metal and pig iron manufacture are expected at 1.8 million tons and 1.9 million tons respectively.
Ukraine to produce 2.2 million tons of steel in August, Metallurgprom said.
Metallurgprom expects steel output in June on the level of 2.2 million tons, with pig iron at 2 million and rolled metal at 1.8 million tons.
According to the experts at Metallurgprom, Ukrainian metal companies will produce 1.9 million tons of steel in November.
