Metallurgprom board of directors has appointed Alexander Kalenkov, the Institute for strategic researches director, the president.
Kalenkov noted the appointment was an honor and a professional challenge for him.
“Now the Ukrainian mining-metallurgical complex operates under heavy conditions – with metal and ore prices falling, taxes and tariffs rising. The global competition on world markets increases, and the Metallurgprom companies face difficult tasks of protecting the interests of Ukrainian manufacturers, who employ hundreds of thousand people and account for 30% of the country’s exports.
